THE NATIVITY SCENE Origin and symbolism of the nativity scene

The Angel said: Be not afraid Mary, thou shall bring forth a Son, and thou shall call His name Jesus......

And Mary brought forth her first-born son, wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger.

An angel of the Lord appeared and said unto them, Fear not, to you is born this day a Saviour, the Lord. Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

They followed the star and saw the Child and Mary. Then they fell on their knees and adored Him.
